Dr. Andrew Hayes is a coach specialising in helping senior academic leaders thrive in the often complex world of higher education. His distinctive journey, beginning as a late-developing student with dyslexia and culminating in a career at some of the UK's most prestigious institutions, provides him with an empathetic and deeply informed perspective.
After completing his undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of Edinburgh, Andrew went on to earn his PhD from King's College London. He spent many years teaching and researching in theology before transitioning into academic leadership, where he served as a centre director and a senior team member from 2020. This experience solidified his passion for coaching and his commitment to helping others succeed.
As a certified EMCC Practitioner Coach and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Andrew combines professional coaching expertise with a firsthand understanding of the academic environment. He empowers leaders to navigate institutional challenges and find personal and professional fulfillment.
Today, he dedicates his time to coaching senior academics and supporting widening education initiatives with the Church of England, reflecting his ongoing commitment to developing human potential.
